Flowers in the Attic

Flowers in the Attic was written by VC Andrews in 1979 and was adapted for film in 1987. The plot focuses on the Dollanganger family, just after the passing of the father. There are four children, Chris and Cathy, teenagers who are close in age and two younger twins, Cory and Carrie. Upon the death of their father, their mom, Corrine, takes the family back to her parents estate. She then dumps the children with her witch of a mother and runs off with a lawyer. Grandma precedes to lock them all in the attic because of a deep dark family secret. Although the book was better, this movie really freaked me out when I was young. Grandma is absolutely TERRIFYING!
