This 1968 Roman Polanski film is based on the 1967 best seller of the same name by Ira Levin. The plot of the story was inspired by the founder of the Church of Satan, Anton LaVey, which caused quite a public stir in 1966. If you like psychological thrillers, Satanic Rituals, and Roman Polanski, then this film is for you. This is one of my all time favorite Horror movies! Mia Farrow is spot on, and Polanski weaves a web of freakishness that is beyond belief.
