A Nightmare on Elm Street was directed by Wes Craven and released in 1984. It stars Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger, who begins haunting teenage kids in their dreams. If he kills you in your dreams, you die in real life. Featuring Johnny Depp in his first feature film, this one is a cult classic. The effects are ridiculously awesome, especially for the time period, and Krueger is one scary son of a bitch. Those claws are bound to give you nightmares!
